Pullmantur Cruises has gone to great lengths to improve its culinary offering on board each of their ships, following their newly-established partnership with two Michelin-starred chef, Paco Roncero. The celebrity chef has more than 20 years of experience in top-end establishments throughout Europe and has gone on to open some of the most impressive restaurants in the world including Ibiza’s ‘Sublimotion’.

His culinary knowledge and flair has brought a revolution to the on board dining experience, with the chef having left his mark across both the day-to-day and gala menus. Guests are able to choose from a range of mouth-watering appetizers; entrees consisting of meat, fish and vegetarian options; and a list of decadent desserts.

While it has been no secret that the line will cater to any specific dietary requirement upon request, there is no doubt that it does create an element of unnecessary hassle. Pullmantur Cruises has taken this into account and is now set to start offering menus comprising of gluten-free and lactose-free meal options. Guests will be able to enjoy up to ten appetizers, ten entrees and six desserts – all of which will replace milk or egg products with olive oil, soya and other non-dairy products.

Gluten-free and lactose-free menu options are likely to include tasting menus comprising of chicken, veal or lamb; fish such as hake or grilled salmon; and a variety of pastas including seafood spaghetti, fusilli in basil oil, and lasagne. Additionally, there will also be a range of sumptuous desserts available including fruit salad; gluten-free banana and chocolate crepes; vanilla cakes with strawberry or chocolate cream and warm vanilla sauce; and red wine poached pear with pistachio and tofu cream. Throughout the day, there will also a range of lighter salads available – all of which will feature fresh produce with or without selected meats and fish.
