Malmo is the third largest city in Sweden and, together with Copenhagen, forms the Øresund region of Scandinavia and the five mile Øresund Bridge connects Malmo with Copenhagen in Denmark. Stavanger is the fourth largest city in Norway and lies within the south western coast of the country. Alesund is a renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture, which was introduced to the city after a fire destroyed 800 buildings in 1904. Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany immediately responded with aid and the Art Nouveau style known as Jugendstil, which was popular at the time, was applied to the new buildings. Elegant spires and turrets dominate this historic city.

Trondheim is Norway’s third largest city after Oslo and Bergen and is also the oldest of the major cities in the country. This is expressed through the vast architecture which includes: the Nidaros Cathedral – the second largest church in northern Europe; wooden mansions; and the TV Tower. The city also boasts a dynamic culture of music, arts and night life.
