Casablanca, Morocco
Casablanca

Casablanca is the largest of city in Morocco and, unlike much of the rest of the country, boasts a relaxed atmosphere. Since being founded in 10BC by Berber fisherman, the city has come a long way and is home to the largest artificial port in the world. Visit the medina and the beautiful King Hassan II Mosque, which is the third mosque largest in the world.

Ancient archaeology is scattered throughout the city and the remains of the Roman theatre, behind the Old Cathedral, are worth visiting. This city is also home to the oldest carnival in Spain and the third largest Carnival celebration in the world.
