Sovereign
Sovereign
Just like Empress and Monarch, Sovereign was previously part of Royal Caribbean’s ranks and served the operator for no less than 20 years. Having been built in 1988, she was transferred to Pullmantur prior to her maiden voyage as Sovereign (previously she was known as Sovereign of the Seas) in 2009.
Not only does she have great experience and classic seafaring charm, she’s also had her fifteen minutes of fame. During her refurbishment in 2004 she was the subject of a TV programme which followed her renovation throughout her time in dry dock. Sovereign received another minor refit in 2008 when she first became part of our Pullmatur fleet; allowing her to proudly boast our livery wherever she goes.
With five different restaurants to choose from and a number of bars and lounges to relax in, there will be plenty of choice during your Sovereign cruise. The whole family are welcomed aboard thanks to the excellent range of activities for younger travellers too. From the kid’s and teen’s clubs run by our passionate crew to the games arcade and the ping pong table; children are never an afterthought.
Sovereign spends most of her time cruising around the Mediterranean, helping guests discover stunning ports like Kotor (Montenegro), Kusadasi (Turkey) and Olbia (Sardinia) which they may never have thought to visit.
A Wealth of Culinary Choices
There are no less than 5 dining areas to choose from during your Sovereign cruise; each of which will provide something different. There are two main restaurants for those who like to dine in a formal environment, don their formalwear, and stick to a specific seating time. Furthermore, the Wu Fusion restaurant beckons you into the world of Asian cuisine, the Panorama buffet offers you the chance to dine casually and try a range of dishes all at once, and the poolside Grill provides al fresco dining for those who can’t get enough of the outdoors.
Take Pleasure in the Party Atmosphere
The Spanish love to dance and so our Animation team will do their best to have you up on your feet at every opportunity. With the lively deck parties, late-night discos in the Zoom nightclub, and general fun-filled feeling sweeping across the whole ship; there’s always an excuse to revel in the party atmosphere.
Views for You
There are many great places from which to enjoy the glorious views on board Sovereign. The best seat in house is found in the 360° bar and lounge where you can see for miles in every direction. There are also excellent vantage points from the sports court, all of our restaurants and, of course, your own private balcony. One of the best things to do during your cruise with us is to sit back with a drink in hand and literally watch the world go by.
